As compared to 2021, the calendar shows losing a Monday and gaining a Wednesday which would result in a small positive calendar change (< +1%) to last year.
For past few months, overall growth to 2021 has been slowing.
- December 2022 shows a GGR down (-1%) to 2021.
Some issues to keep in mind.
- AR added new casino property
- KY and VA have both opened in 2018-2019 for HHR games. Their growth, while extraordinarily strong is at least as much due to new facilities and additional games being added. VA continues to add facilities.
- In late 2022, Nebraska (NE) opened commercial gaming.
