Compost happens… um… I mean, mistakes happen when it comes to F&B ordering and the preparation process. But the key to ensuring positive guest experiences (as well as fostering cost containment and reducing staff time/effort), is to minimize mistakes and maximize accuracy by following up and following through—and by harnessing the power of technology through comprehensive back-end software and innovative hardware.
When it comes to F&B fulfillment, we’ve all been there. We crave a particular sandwich on particular bread with a special array of condiments, or we desire a juicy steak prepared just as we like it, but when the order arrives, it has the wrong ingredients or it’s over/under cooked. The disappointment is obvious. We now need to wait for the order to be made correctly—and when we’re with other guests, either their food gets cold/soggy or you end up eating well after they’ve already begun.
Preventable mistakes such as these add time, effort, and costs for the restaurant (especially when there’s food waste), and a less-than-stellar experience could make us less likely to visit this restaurant again—not to mention the tarnished reputation if the guest (or guest party) opts to post their thoughts on social media.
