Casino revenue in 2022 is on track to reach the highest levels yet, and properties need to find ways to satisfy guests and capture as much of their spend as possible. Casino Revenue Prior to the Pandemic
The year 2019 saw the highest casino revenues as of that point in time, and many 2021 totals were even higher. In 2019, Macau saw $36.5 billion in revenue, and Las Vegas in comparison saw $22 billion. While the most profitable individual casino in the world, Galaxy Macau, topped $8 billion, the Las Vegas Sands Corporation was the casino company with the highest revenue at $13.74 billion. In Europe, land-based gambling topped $88.2 billion in 2019, and the European countries with the highest gambling revenue during that time were Italy, Germany, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Sweden, respectively.
