- For 2021, casino gaming had the advantage in that in some places it literally “only game in town” as many entertainment venues, restaurants, bars, and movie theaters were not open or open with restrictions.
- As a result, 2021 turned out to be a very strong year for gaming, if not the best recorded.
- For past few months, overall growth to 2021 has been slowing with June 2022 showing more (largely Midwest trend continuing) states declining to last year.
