As I sit here in isolation socially distancing myself from others who may have the COVID-19 virus, I wonder when life will get back to normal, when casinos will open once again and when we’ll finally be able to connect with people in person. I feel like I am in a Hollywood movie as the whole situation seems to be following a very dramatic script. However, with all of this going on, I am optimistic about the future because I have a family and want to see us prosper for many years to come. But what makes that future possible? Beyond hoping and praying for a great outcome, I think that that innovation and critical thinking will be the remedy for this situation and what is to come.
World Problems
Right now, we have big problems with the economy and the temporary closure of tens of thousands of businesses across the U.S. Things are in complete disarray – the stock market has crashed, people are getting laid off from their jobs, citizens are hoarding items at the grocery stores and many people are wondering how they will make their rent and mortgage payments. All this from a virus that is completely invisible.
