Long gone are the days of the “click-clack” noise of fingers on keys to create a business letter on a typewriter, putting a stamp on an envelope, and mailing it via USPS to a client or supplier.
Email has become part of our daily lives for personal correspondence and business transactions. Email has, in addition, expanded to now include targeted disbursement of marketing materials.
According to the US postal system mail volume has dropped from 154.3 billion parcels in 2015 down to 112.5 billion in 2024. The marketing mail volume in 2015 was 80 billion pieces and has steadily declined to 57.5 billion in 2024.
