In my early days at Harrahs, when market research was still fairly new to our industry, company executives were quite surprised to find that customers were most concerned about cleanliness and safety when visiting a casino. It definitely feels like deja vu or maybe back to the future with today’s COVID-19 concerns.
My curiosity was piqued by something I read in a press release about the reopening from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. Their guidelines boasted about “constant purification and disinfecting of the air flowing into the complex through the AtmosAir™ bi-polar ionization system designed to destroy virus particles in the air and on surfaces.”
Air scenting and various filtering systems have been around for a long time now. Opinions about their effectiveness have been mixed amid concerns that some may actually cause more harm than good. But a system that was actually proven to clean and improve air quality seemed like a great asset in today’s environment. I had to learn more.
I reached out to Tom Nieman at Apollo Gaming who is also a representative for AtmosAir™. Tom was happy to set me up with representatives of the company to get more information.
