While each subsector and company will face unique risks, there are some threads running through the entire industry. The KPMG Gaming practice recently published a periodic industry risk monitor based on our interactions with our clients, which includes discussions with industry leaders at recent programming such as Global Gaming Expo 2023 (G2E), and secondary industry research. We identified recurring themes around key risk areas such as customer expectations, responsible gaming, and cybersecurity. In this article, I will discuss some of these key risks in hopes that you consider them for incorporation into your company’s risk assessment and risk mitigation plans.
