Think of your partners in IT as the building inspectors from the city (company) you work for. While you may be tasked with driving revenue, improving distribution, or enhancing guest engagement, they want to help you do that in a way that reduces cost and manages risk.
In fact, you need to build better than they do. So unless you bring them along they may reduce the wrong costs or manage the wrong risks. After all, a luxury resort shouldn’t be run on a shoestring (impacting service) and a roadside inn doesn’t need the same security as a property on the Vegas strip. So how do you have that conversation and help your IT partners help you.
