Telecommunications (Tele com) or media transmission refers to the transmission of signs, signals, messages, compositions, pictures and sounds or knowledge of any nature by wire, radio, optical or other electromagnetic mediums. Information Technology (IT) is “the electronic control of information, processing/programming/coding, PC system (hardware) operations, and other information administration,” according to Market Process – Insite article (www.market-prospects.com). Communication Technology (ITC) is the convergence of audiovisuals and telephone networks with computer networks through a single cabling or link system. A timeline snapshot of each – Telecom, IT and ITC will shed light on the evolution of each.
