Not long ago, I was at an industry event when a gaming executive with two decades of floor experience said something I have heard in various forms many times: “This cyber stuff, it feels like a tech problem. Our IT team handles it.”
I do not say that to call anyone out. It is a completely understandable framing, and for a long time, it was accurate enough. But on March 11, 2026, an attack on Stryker Corporation changed that calculus in ways every industry, including ours, needs to absorb.
