In the latest reporting period, domestic gaming operators experienced steady demand despite broader economic headwinds. Overseas gaming hubs such as Macau and Singapore posted impressive results to begin the year, reinforcing their importance in the global industry.
The domestic casino industry recorded revenue growth across all major segments in early 2026. Total revenue rose 6.0 percent from the first quarter of 2025 to $20.1 billion, according to the American Gaming Association. iGaming continued to drive industry growth, with revenue increasing 20.7 percent year over year to $3.0 billion. Sports betting revenue totaled $4.3 billion, up 8.6 percent year over year, marking the second time quarterly revenue has exceeded $4.0 billion. Traditional casino revenue rose 2.1 percent year over year to $12.5 billion, with slots contributing $9.3 billion, up 3.1 percent, and table games generating $2.5 billion, down 0.7 percent.
