Here’s a question: Are we building AI that makes us smarter, or are we accidentally engineering our own obsolescence? As someone whose business thrives on AI consulting and helping businesses implement AI in their organizations, I’m supposed to be bullish on this technology. And I am, but not in the way you might think. I don’t believe AI is here to replace human thinking. I believe it’s here to augment it. The problem? Most organizations are implementing AI in ways that do exactly the opposite.
This isn’t an isolated incident. It’s a pattern I’m seeing across industries, and it represents one of the most critical challenges facing organizations today: the erosion of human self-efficacy in the age of AI.
