Through the close of 2025, the global gaming industry expanded, with domestic operators acheiving record highs (in aggregate). However, overall earnings were effected by shifting demand in the food, beverage and room segements for selected operators. Meanwhile, the Asian gaming hubs of Macau and Singapore thrived in the wake of recent investment.
In a year characterized by economic uncertainty, the domestic commercial gaming industry posted revenue growth for the sixth consecutive year, with total revenue growing 9.2 percent to $78.7 billion in 2025, according to the American Gaming Association (AGA). Sports betting and iGaming remained the fastest-growing segments in the industry, delivering revenues of $17.0 billion (+22.8 percent year over year) and $10.7 billion (+27.6 percent year over year), respectively. Together, sports betting and iGaming comprised 35.1 percent of total gaming revenue, up from 30.4 percent in 2024. All 38 commercial gaming states experienced year-over-year revenue growth in 2025.
