It is well known that AI has been in existence for over 50 years. In fact, there was some form of AI in practice as early as the 1960s. We all remember HAL9000 in 2001 Space Odyssey as a very advanced form of AI antagonist capable of speech recognition, NLP, multiintent and task execution and oh yes, major hallucinations that didn’t end well for the crew of the Discovery.
For many of us who have been engaged in enterprise solution technologies focused on Travel and Hospitality, AI just came into being when OpenAI released Generative AI and ChatGPT in 2022, and to say it was a game changer is an understatement.
