Portage, MI – The Tribal Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Tribal-ISAC) announced today the appointment of Toni Pepper as its first Executive Director, effective February 1, 2026. The appointment marks an important milestone in the continued growth of the Tribal-ISAC as the nation’s only Information Sharing and Analysis Center dedicated exclusively to the cybersecurity needs of sovereign Native American and Alaska Native tribal governments and their enterprises.
Founded in 2021, the Tribal-ISAC exists to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across Indian Country by providing a trusted, member-driven environment for information sharing, collaboration, and collective defense. Operating as a 501(c)(3) division of Tribal Share, Inc., Tribal-ISAC supports tribes in preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber threats—while respecting and reinforcing tribal sovereignty.
“The Tribal-ISAC provides a trusted space for tribes to collaborate and share cybersecurity information in support of collective defense,” said Toni Pepper. “I’m honored to support the organization’s mission and work alongside members and partners to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across Indian Country.”
As the Tribal-ISAC has expanded its membership, services, and partnerships, the creation of the Executive Director role reflects the organization’s transition from an early-stage initiative to a sustained national resource. The role is intended to support continued mission execution, operational maturity, and long-term sustainability.
Pepper has been involved with the Tribal-ISAC since its founding, serving on the Steering Committee and helping shape the organization’s mission, governance, and strategic direction. As Executive Director, she will provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight; strengthen member engagement and services; expand strategic partnerships; support trusted threat intelligence sharing and collective defense; and advance the Tribal-ISAC’s long-term strategy to enhance cybersecurity resilience for tribal communities nationwide.
“The Tribal-ISAC plays a critical role in helping tribes protect their governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure,” the Tribal-ISAC Steering Committee said in a joint statement. “This leadership appointment supports our commitment to growing the Tribal ISAC as a trusted, sustainable, and member-focused cybersecurity resource.”
